Over the past year or so, the AMMA has formed close working relationships with all of the major craft beverage associations, including the Brewers Association, Wine America, American Cider Association and the Distilled Spirits Council, just to name a few.
Through this newly formed coalition, mead now has a place at the table which in turn offers the AMMA more leverage in continuing on its mission to promote and protect mead.
You may have heard the news already after the bill’s passing but, this team effort played a major role in fighting for the renewal of the Craft Beverage Modernization and Tax Reform Act which helped make certain excise tax credits NOW PERMANENT for commercial mead producers!
